Lego Robotics

Lego Robotics -- is a worldwide robotics program for 9 to 14-year-olds designed to get students excited about science and technology as well as teach them valuable employment and life skills along the way.

The Project: Teams conduct research to solve a real-world problem, develop an innovative solution and present and share their work at the competition and within their communities. At the tournament, they are evaluated in research, innovation, and presentation.

The Robot: Teams design, build, and program autonomous LEGO robots to complete specific missions. They are evaluated on mechanical design, programming, innovation, and strategy.

Core Values: In Lego League kids learn that friendly competition and mutual gain are not separate goals, and that helping one another is the foundation of teamwork. At the tournament, they will be evaluated on inspiration and teamwork...and, of course, Coopertition and Gracious Professionalism.

In what ways can parents show their support for our Lego League Teams you ask?

Lego League is only as good as its parent supporters. Please consider helping coach our wonderful kids...it's a lot of fun and technical experience is not required. Training will be provided. Other ways to help include attending practices (especially Saturdays) to help keep the kids focused, and providing snacks.
